Bengbu government will invest 300 million yuan to develop the tourism resources in Dagong Mountain Forest Park and Qiaozijian Dam based on the requirements of National Grade AAAA scenic areas.
The finished tourism resort, Dagong Mountain-Qiaozijian Dam International Resort, will include scenic spots, theme parks and related infrastructures.
Dagong Mountain and Qiaozijian Dam are connected to each other by mountains and water. While Dagong Mountain boasts folklore and cultural landscapes, such as Yan’s Temple at Huaming Pond and Gongshan Temple, Qiaozijian is famous for its clear and azure water. The combination of the two provides a perfect place for landscape tour.
According to the planning, the tourism resort is expected to undergo a reconstruction of the Gongshan Temple and many other constructions of natural and cultural landscapes, including Adventure Area in Gold Mine Ruins of Ming Dynasty (1368-1644), Crescent Lake and Qiaozijian Area. In addition, a theme park named Daming Cultural Folklore Park and holiday hotels, ecological agriculture sightseeing park, tourism reception center, squares and parking lots will also be built.
The most special features of the resort consists of projects in Adventure Area in Gold Mine Ruins of Ming Dynasty, including the mining, refining and procession of gold in the gold mine ruins and ancient tunnels. Experts said that as the adventure travel of mine ruins is rare in the country, it is very likely that the adventure projects in Dagong Mountain-Qiaozijian Dam International Resort will become the standard for excellence.
Dagong Mountain-Qiaozijian Dam International Resort is expected to complete transportation, entertainment facilities and other related infrastructures in five years. The project will not only improve the tourism system of Bengbu, but also strengthen the tourism industry connection between Bangbu and capital cities like Nanjing and Hefei.
