The National Two Sessions -- the Fifth Session of the 12th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) and the Fifth Session of the 12th National People's Congress (NPC) -- opened on March 3 and 5 respectively in Beijing, with nearly 3,000 leaders and deputies from all over China in attendance.
In the past year, Jilin deputies have visited local villages and towns, listened to people's voices, and gave out solutions to their problems. They are to submit their proposals and motions during the Two Sessions and help improve people's living conditions.

A conference was held in Changchun on March 16 by Jilin deputies who attended the two sessions to promote the main issues discussed during the national conferences to more Jilin officials.
