Oscar-winner Hilary Swank has signed up represent French fashion house Guerlain's latest fragrance.

The Million Dollar Baby star, who has modelled for Calvin Klein, will front the advertising campaign for the Insolence scent.

The company's president and chief executive, Renato Semarari, enthuses: "She's a very, very talented actress."

International marketing director Laurent Boillot adds: "She is a feminine mix of Meryl Streep and Robert De Niro. She is capable of transforming herself."
