Two lighting systems have been installed, common lighting and optical fiber lighting, The whole lighting system was completed by French experts in one month, rendering light to each exhibit in accordance to its specific characteristics, For example, in designing lighting for the painted chicken-pattern cup of the Ming Dynasty, the light comes from the sides of the exhibition box to its center, which highlights the exquisite patterns at the exhibit's belly part, Tens of optical fibers shoot toward the Qing Dynasty gilded painted bottle from different directions to enable viewers to clearly see the colors of the bottle.
The new porcelain hall is also equipped with electric signs in both Chinese and English. With only a touch of the screen, a viewer can learn all information about the exhibits and indulge himself in the richness and diversity of Chinese porcelain.
