The second China Show Jumping Open was held at Equuleus International Riding Club in Beijing from Oct 16-18.

Hosted by the Chinese Equestrian Association, the event was aimed at popularizing such sports in the country. Well-known riders from home and abroad joined the competition that saw horse-jumping routes receive designing help from Rob Jansen, an expert from the Lausanne-based International Equestrian Federation.

A similar event for teenagers was also held alongside the main tournament as a first of its kind in China, intended to develop early talents for world championships such as the Olympics.
