There are many animals wandering the streets of the city that need warm homes. There are a growing number of organizations and individuals working to rescue the animals and help them find new families.

This is a team trying to promote neutering pets and raise public awareness of how to help stray cats. It organizes adoption fairs and regular fund-raising events to help more stray cats find loving families.

Paw Pals Animal Rescue 爪园救助

PPAR is a not-for-profit animal rescue group founded in 2007 by a group of individual animal rescuers. Its mission is to provide the rescue and compassionate care for homeless animals, and to place adoptable animals in permanent loving homes. All cats at PPAR are sterilized, immunized and treated for parasites prior to adoption.

Auntie Wang's Adoption Home

This temporary shelter was founded by Auntie Wang ten years ago. Many cute animals at the shelter are looking for new homes. There are about 160 rescued stray animals being looked after by Auntie Wang and other volunteers.
