Fans of Thai food have a tasty treat in store with a Thai food festival at City Wall Bistro restaurant at the Beijing Marriott Hotel City Wall.

The evening buffet offers authentic Tom Yam Kung soup made on the spot by a Thai chef from the Renaissance Bangkok Ratchaprasong Hotel.

The chef will add the base of fresh chicken with a variety of imported Thai spices catering to various tastes. The boiled prawns, chili sauce and the spicy fish sauce will make an unforgettable soup for the guests.

Guests can have their own DIY Thai dishes not only choosing green, red or yellow curries, but will also be able to make their own delicacies with the help of the chefs. Thai beef salad with fresh lime and spicy chili and the Siamese-taste coconut, with imported Thai coconut milk and fruits such as papaya and mango, are sure to be big hits.

Besides Thai dishes, the buffet also offers a variety of seafood such as New Zealand deep-sea overlord crab, South American sweet shrimp, and Korean jade whelk. The evening buffet is 338 yuan ($55) per person and guests can buy a coupon for 169 yuan on Chinese group-buying sites, such as dianping.com.
