Lonely path for 'leftover' women 

Zhu Jiamin is the 30-year-old mother of a 3-year-old daughter and 6-month-old son.

2:30 am: Baby wakes up crying, got to feed him.

6:30 am: Woken up by daughter. Prepare a bottle of milk powder for her, then get her dressed.

7:30 am: Baby wakes up crying, pacify him and then prepare breakfast.

8:30 am: Feed the baby, while my daughter plays.

9:30 am: Prepare fruit puree for the baby and some fresh fruit for daughter and then spend an hour playing with her.

10:30 am: Feed the baby. He goes to sleep.

11:30 am: Start preparing lunch.

12:00 pm : Eat lunch with my daughter, then put her to bed for a nap.

12:30 pm to 2:30 pm: Clean the apartment, then take a short nap next to my daughter.

2:30 pm: Both kids wake up. Prepare some snacks for my daughter and make rice porridge for the baby.

3:30 pm: My mother comes and takes my daughter to the park, while I put the baby in a stroller for a walk around the neighborhood.

4:30 pm: Go home, give baby a bath.

5:30 pm: Cook dinner. 6 pm to

6:30 pm: My husband comes home, and we all have dinner together. My mother leaves after dinner.

7:30 pm: My husband gives my daughter a shower and I feed the baby.

8:30 pm: Read bedtime stories to my daughter until she falls asleep.

9:00 pm: Wash the dishes and do the children’s laundry by hand.

9:30 pm to 10:30 pm: watch TV and chat with my husband.

11:00 pm: Take a shower and go to sleep.
