Bank supports global publishing

By Mei Jia | China Daily | Updated: 2012-07-10 10:03

In the coming five years, the Export-Import Bank of China will offer no less than 20 billion yuan ($3.14 billion) to support key enterprises or projects, in their effort to venture out of China.

The bank signed a cooperation agreement with the General Administration of Press and Publication to stimulate the "going global" campaign of the country's press and publishers.

Administration's deputy director Wu Shulin says he believes the agreement will elevate the influence of Chinese culture globally.

Sun Ping, vice-president of the bank, says the financial world is exploring ways to support the country's cultural progress because now "is the golden time for developing culture and cultural enterprises".
