Special guests from China visit India to boost culture exchange
There's more soft diplomacy happening close to home. 2011 has been designated as a year of cultural communication between China and India. A group of special guests from China's various ancient dynasties are touring India starting from the capital New Delhi.
The exhibition "Treasures of Ancient China" currently on display at the National Museum, New Delhi, till March 20 will also travel to three other venues in India.

From the terror-cotta warrior of China's first emperor Qinshihuang to the ambassador on ride from the prosperous Tang Dynasty, nearly one hundred signature relics of the Chinese civilization offer a quiet trip through time.
Zhang Yan, Chinese Ambassador to India, said, "The exhibition is the first of its kind at such a high level in India. India has curated exhibition feature on their history and culture in China. We hope that through such an exhibition Indian people could learn more about China's history and culture."

Running for ten months, the exhibition will head to Mumbai, Calcutta and Hyderabad after New Delhi.
