Dabaotai station also lies just next door to Beijing World Park, a theme park complete with replica models of monuments from around the world - a good option for those with children. It is currently open from 8 am-4:30 pm, with admission set at 65 yuan.

Changping Line

Beijing Subway continues northward with the pink Changping Line, beginning at Line 13's Xi'erqi and ending at Nanshao.

Passengers disembarking at the Life Sciences Park station will find themselves a 10-minute walk away from Tai Shen Xiang He villa.

Modelled on a Qing-Ming Dynasty prince's palace, the complex offers Chinese-style sculpted gardens, a fishing pool, as well as a traditional Chinese cultural center with art exhibitions and related courses.

While it may lack authenticity, it makes up for this by offering a traditional Chinese atmosphere minus the tourists. Visit the villa between 8 am and 4 pm, at free entry.
