Sarah Palin lauds

Republican firebrand Sarah Palin is leaving readers in little doubt about where her allegiances lie with her latest book to be titled "America By Heart: Reflections on Family, Faith and Flag."

Palin, 46, the former Republican vice presidential candidate who is widely considered to be weighing a run for president, will release the book on November 23, publisher HarperCollins said in a statement on Tuesday as it unveiled the book's title.

The book, described as a "celebration of American virtues and strengths," will feature selections of readings that have inspired Palin.

They will include "the nation's founding documents to great speeches, sermons, letters, literature and poetry, biography, and even some of her favorite songs and movies."

"The book will also include portraits of some of the extraordinary men and women she admires and who embody her deep love of country, her strong rootedness in faith, and her profound love and appreciation of family," said the publisher.

Palin's first book, an autobiography titled "Going Rogue: An American Life," has sold more than two million copies, reflecting strong interest in the woman who has become a polarizing figure in American politics and popular with conservatives.

Palin, who has five children, ran unsuccessfully for vice president on the Republican ticket with presidential nominee Sen. John McCain in 2008. She was governor of Alaska at the time.

Since then, she has resigned as governor and has made public appearances before such groups as the conservative "Tea Party" movement and on NBC television's "Tonight Show."

She has also been hired as a commentator on Fox News, where she recently said she was open to a possible White House run in 2012 but had not made up her mind.

HarperCollins, part of Rupert Murdoch's News Corp empire, has not disclosed the amount of Palin's advance for the new book.
