In his latest film Little Big Soldier (大兵小将), kungfu star Jackie Chan (pictured) plays an old soldier who's only desire is to survive. He and a young general, played by pop singer Wang Leehom, are the only ones alive after a bloody battle. They set out on a journey together and build a long-lasting friendship.
At the film's premiere gala, aired by Beijing TV on Feb 5, Chan said he had been brewing the story for 20 years and wrote the script himself. The film's screening has been a dream come true, he said.
The film features intense action scenes and Chan also sings a song in it.
The film is the 99th film Chan has starred in. His next project is an action picture, in which a single kungfu scene will cost 70 million yuan ($10.3 million).
