Pop queen Faye Wong returns with her new song You Lan Cao, which is also the theme song of the film Confucius (Kong Zi). The lyrics are adapted from an ancient poem on orchids by Han Yu (AD768-824) and the song is composed by Ou Ge.
Ou, who is also responsible for the theme songs of hit Chinese films such as Red Cliff (Chi Bi), says he has tried to capture the beauty of orchids with his soothing melody and hopes Wong's voice will help convey the sublime spirit of the sage. Confucius is scheduled for global release on Jan 22 and You Lan Cao is now available on the film's official website.
