Indian government also named Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee to negotiate with Anna team.
"I have no hesitation in saying that we need your views and actions in the service of the nation, from a robust physical condition and not in the context of frail or failing health," said Manmohan Singh in the letter.
Manmohan Singh stressed the common goal from the government and Anna team to significantly reduce or eliminate corruption but with difference on the paths and methodologies to the end.
"We are ready to talk to anybody. However, we will have to keep in mind parliamentary supremacy and constitutional obligations in matters of legislation," said the prime minister.
Additionally, doctors Monday said that Anna's health was in the "danger zone" and may require urgent hospitalization in the next 24 to 48 hours.
