HONG KONG - Hong Kong's Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development Rita Lau Friday set off for Beppu, Japan to attend the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Growth Strategy High-Level Policy Round Table, according to local government website.
During the meeting, ministers and participants from APEC economies will review and discuss the long-term growth strategy for the Asia-Pacific region. Lau will deliver a speech on innovative growth and share with APEC economies various initiatives pursued by the government in developing Hong Kong as a knowledge-based economy.
Lau will return to Hong Kong on August 8.
