Over 370,000 primary school students living in southern rural areas of Ningxia Hui autonomous region will get one egg a day starting Sept 1 thanks to a local government’s policy that aims to improve students’ health.

The local government will earmark 50 million yuan ($7.3 million) every year to implement the policy, Dong Hongwei, director of the financial department, Ningxia Education Office, told chinadaily.com.cn on Thursday.
