Floating garbage drifts to Three Gorges Reservoir

A worker walks on a layer of garbage floating on the Yangtze River at Changxizi Dock, Yunyang county, Southwest China's Chongqing municipality, July 26, 2010. A large amount of floating waste and other debris brought by floods, drifted to the Three Gorges Reservoir, forming a thick layer of garbage, blocking the waterway. The layer of floating garbage is thick enough for people to walk on. To maintain a smooth river route and protect the river's ecosystem, an emergency clean-up work has begun along the banks of the reservoir. [Photo/Asianewsphoto]
