Hilton Chongqing loses five-star ranking

The Hilton Hotel in Southwest China's Chongqing Municipality was disqualified from its five-star title, according to the National Tourism Administration website, Chinanews.com reported on Wednesday.

The Committee of National Hotel Stars Assessment announced that the Hilton's operation was being suspended for 15 days by police because of its illegal business and activities, which was harmful to the image of China's star-level tourist hotels, and the committee has decided to strip it of its five-star title.
