Macao youths arrested for drug trafficking

MACAO - The Judiciary Police of Macao Monday said that they arrested six local teenage boys and girls, who were suspected of drug trafficking and abusing.

A male and a female suspects were caught red-handed by the police when trading drugs, a spokesman of the Judiciary Police said.

The Judiciary Police later arrested the other four suspects at a local residential building, where some of them were taking drugs, the spokesman also said.

According to the police, the drugs seized in this operation was purchased by the suspects from the Chinese mainland for 1,500 patacas, and they have been selling these drugs for over three months.

Meanwhile, the six suspects have been transferred to Macao's Public Prosecution for further investigation.
