China will become the world's second largest movie market in the next five years, Shanghai Securities News reported on Monday, citing data from the China Film Association (CFA). According to a report compiled by CFA, China's movie market will break the monopoly and enter small cities. Good branding will lead to the development of theater chains. Cartoon movies will be one of the most profitable genres.
The CFA also said new technology such like 3D and iMAX has brought a rash of investments as well as the huge demand. The association urged film makers to step out of the simple follow of technology, sales or stars, and provide good contents for the audience.
