China Mobile, China's largest mobile carrier, said its total mobile subscribers in October increased to 575 million, including about 17 million 3G subscribers.

China Unicom, the country's No 2 mobile carrier, said its total mobile subscribers rose to about 163.8 million for the month, including 11.7 million 3G subscribers.

China Telecom said its total mobile subscribers rose to 85.5 million in October. It added that its 3G subscriber base increased to about 9.2 million users at the end of September.
