Housing prices rose 12.4 percent in May from a year earlier in China's 70 large and medium-sized cities, the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) said on Thursday. That was 0.4 percentage points lower than April's housing price rise.
Prices of new houses rose 15.1 percent from the same month last year in May, 0.3 percentage points lower that of April's. Prices of existing homes in May advanced 9.2 percent year-on-year, the NBS said.
