Sándor Kusai, Hungarian Ambassador to China

Updated: 2009-08-19 16:55 Mr. Sándor Kusai was born at Szeghalom in Hungary on November 4, 1959. He was appointed the Ambassador of the Republic of Hungaryto the People’s Republic of China in 2008. The following list chronicles Mr. Kusai's career as a diplomat.
1979-1985 Mr. Kusai studied at the Moscow State Institute of International Relations and graduated as expert of international relations. 1985-1986 He served as desk officer for China of the 4th Territorial Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Hungary 1986-1991 Mr. Kusai worked as Assistant Attaché, Attaché and later Third Secretary of the Embassy of the Republic of Hungary in Beijing 1991-1994 He was redesignated as the Head of the China Desk of the 5th Territorial Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Hungary 1994-1997 Mr. Kusai was appointed the First Secretary and Deputy Chief of Mission of the Embassy of the Republic of Hungary in Kuala Lumpur 1997-2000 He came back to China and worked as the Head of the China Desk, and later Deputy Director General of the 5th Territorial Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Hungary. 2000-2004 Mr. Kusai was promted as the Minister Plenipotentiary, Deputy Head of the Embassy of the Republic of Hungary in Beijing 2004-2006 Mr. Kusai served as the Deputy Director General and Diplomatic Advisor of the Cabinet of the Prime Minister and later of the Office of the Former Prime Minister and Ambassador-at-Large at the Prime Minister’s Office 2006-2007 He worked as the Deputy Director General of the Department of Diplomatic Information and later of the Department of Foreign Policy Strategic Planning and Information of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Hungary 2008- Mr. Kusai now works as the Ambassador of the Republic of Hungary to the People’s Republic of China |
