A group of over 100 well-known chefs have submitted a petition to urge the legislature to reconsider a ban on the sale of the fatty goose livers set to go into effect July 1. They proposed new rules that would instead require farmers to raise geese and ducks in a cage-free environment, minimize stress, and use feeding methods that do not harm the bird's esophagus or beak.
