Celebrate Laba Festival in China

A lama priest serves Laba Porridge to a visitor in Yonghe Lama Temple during Laba Festival, a traditional Chinese holiday celebrated on the eighth day of the 12th month of the Lunar Chinese calendar, which falls on Jan 8 this year. The lamas of Yonghegong Lama Temple in Beijing serve Laba porridge to visitors every year on Laba Festival. It is believed the porridge can bring people good fortune and predicts a plentiful harvest for the next year. [Photo/Asianews]
