Free-flow food, fixed price

China Daily | Updated: 2010-02-27 09:57

Fu Ji Restaurant, on the third floor of Van Palace, has a large variety of cuisines - Cantonese, Shanghai, Jiangsu and Zhejiang, besides Japanese, Korean, Southeast Asian and Western foods.

The restaurant is promoting a new option, which is free flow of food at a fixed price. One can select more than 200 dishes on the eatery's menu - and eat until you've had your fill - for 188 yuan ($27.50) per person from 11 am-2 pm, or 8-10 pm; or at 238 yuan per person from 5-8 pm. The price includes free drinks, such as juice, soft drink, local red wine and ice cream. The restaurant is presently offering a discount of 50 yuan per person, so the prices are 138 yuan/188 yuan a head. Call to make sure the policy still holds.

For seafood, there is a big platter of sashimi served on ice, a smooth and tasty marinated sashimi crab with sauce and steamed spotted grouper. Highly recommended are crispy rice with abalone, and steamed lobster with finely chopped garlic.

Daily 11 am-2 pm, 5-10 pm. 3/F Van Palace, 2 Guandongdian Nanjie, Chaoyang district, north of Kerry Center Hotel. 5131-6477
