500 ways to serve duck

Peking roast duck giant Quan Ju De's "complete duck banquet" has been officially recognized as an intangible cultural heritage by the Chongwen district.

The restaurant group has developed more than 500 hot and cold duck dishes with careful consideration going towards processing, cooking, matching foods, and nutritional values.

As Spring Festival approaches, Quan Ju De's Qianmen branch has introduced two Peking roast duck packages, which include the "complete duck banquet.

The 1,580 yuan deal includes a 1,280 yuan duck banquet coupon, two Peking roast duck takeaway tickets, and a history book about Quan Ju De. A more comprehensive 2,580 yuan package, includes white and red wines.

Some typical duck dishes are classical quick-fried duck heart, duck claw with mustard, and newly created dishes such as duck cubes in crisp cake, pineapple flavored duck, and fried duck tongue with coriander, plus a whole set of Quan Ju De roast duck.

The restaurant has traditional activities for Spring Festival holiday, such as an old Beijing stunt display, and blessing from a living "God of Fortune".

Quan Ju De's Qianmen branch is one of the oldest of the group, and will be decorated in traditional Chinese style.
