In a letter dated 25 June and revealed on Saturday, Suarez carried on defending his bite. He argued his lost his balance and his teeth hit Chiellini's shoulder. The Guardian mocked that a "dog ate my homework" type of excuse would sound much more plausible.

不过，由7个人组成的评审委员会认定，咬人确系“毫无来由的蓄意行为”，“他咬了人家，想让人受伤，起码也要让他失去平衡。”

However the 7-strong penal believed the bite was "deliberate, intentional and without provocation", "He bit the player wth the intention of wounding him or at least of destabilising him."
