A tale of several Nations...

Cruising through the net today, I realized that we left with exactly 16 days for the World’s Biggest Sporting Event... The Brazil World Cup 2014.

I might not be a die hard fan of soccer but I do really enjoy every single moment of the World Cup action. It is definitely much more than just soccer or football like some call it.

A tale of several Nations...

The host of the 2014 World Cup, Brazil, is the dream destination for many. Putting aside all the controversies associated, this event will certainly give an unprecedented push to Brazil’s key pillars of the economy.

Moreover, I believe Football is a sport that is the epitome of the virtues of Sports. The World Cup brings people together, unites the divided, revives the past glory of many Nations and paves the way for the new Champions. This frenetic month of soccer emphasizes on the lofty ideals that the human race has so far cherished: alleviating poverty, nurturing a sense of brotherhood among the divided nations and settling disputes.

The world’s most popular sporting event also spreads the message of peace and promotes cooperation not only among the different Nations but also within a Nation. The Champion of this event would not just be the team of players but the whole country because without the undying love and support of the rest of the country men, no team would be able to come so far for such a huge sporting event.

Last, personally, The World Cup brings back so many memories etched in my heart. Back home, I remember enjoying every single moment of the World Cup with my friends. It is the first World Cup I am so far away from home and all my dear ones. Yet, I know that somehow a new set of memories await for me here in China.

For the rest of the globe, The World Cup is all set to roll in the land of the gorgeous Ipanema and Copacabana Beaches but for me all the action will be here in China...!
