The couple took to the red carpet outside London's Royal Opera House and Angelina, 38, looked stunning in an open-buttoned collar and loose bow tie, teamed with a black Saint Laurent blazer, loose trousers and shiny black court heels.
Her 50-year-old husband, who was supporting the cast of his film '12 Years A Slave', also looked dashing in a similar outfit, wearing a Valentino blazer and patent brogues.
The pair were among the best dressed on the night and fans took to Twitter to praise Angelina's androgynous look.
One girl wrote: "I'm pretty envious of any woman that can successfully rock wearing a suit. Angelina Jolie looks incredible!"
Lupita Nyong'o also dazzled on the red carpet ahead of the ceremony, wearing a striking emerald green Dior Couture gown with a fishtail-hem and gold belt around the middle, which accentuated her small waist.
The 30-year-old star was nominated for Best Supporting Actress for her role in '12 Years A Slave' but missed out to Jennifer Lawrence for 'American Hustle'.
Her look was described as "sensational" by fans on Twitter and her followers began to speculate over what she will wear to the Oscars next month.
Amy Adams, who was nominated for Best Actress for 'American Hustle', also won praise for her outfit, choosing an elegant black dress by Victoria Beckham, while Lily Allen received mixed reactions for turning up to the ceremony in an orange and pink satin gown.
The singer was supporting her mother, Alison Owen, who was nominated as a producer for 'Saving Mr Banks' and teamed her strapless Vivienne Westwood dress with a spiky pink bow in her hair.
One girl posted on Twitter: "Not a fan of Lily Allen's bafta dress (sic)," while another wrote: "Finally, some colour on the red carpet!"
