1,400 travelers stranded by snow in SW China

Police guide traffic at Heqing county, Dali Bai autonomous prefecture, South China's Yunnan province, on Ninglang-Fengyi Highway,  Dec 16, 2013.Some 300 police personnel and soldiers came to help 1,400 travelers stranded by snowfall on Monday. Starting2 pm on Sunday to Monday morning, heavy snow fell in the county, rare for Southwest China's Yunnan province, leaving low visibility and icy roads and paralyzing traffic.[Photo/Xinhua]
