The typhoon landed in Hepu township, Xiangshan county near the Sanmenwan Gulf in central Zhejiang at 3:20 on Wednesday, bringing downpours and flooding that stranded dozens of people in East China. As of Wednesday morning, more than 1.5 million people were evacuated in Zhejiang province.
