A woman shows an egg yolk that became elastic after boiling on Feb 9, 2012. The woman, surnamed Zhang from Shanghai, discovered the yolks of some eggs she bought from a supermarket became very rubbery after cooking, making it hard to eat. The local administration of industry and commerce attributed the moldable eggs to the cold weather and assured shoppers they are real. In recent weeks, small quantities of the so-called "rubber eggs" have appeared on the market in dozens of regions across China.[Photo/CFP] |
