Helping China’s street children

Children play at Street Childen Protection Center in Wuhan, capital city of Central China's Hubei province on Jan 19, 2011. The center is the largest waif relief center in Central China with a 6,607 square-meter construction area, accommodating over 200 children.

The Wuhan municipal government invested about 30 million yuan ($4.5 million) to support the project, setting up 22 different function rooms including a multimedia center, library, and psychological consultation center to help homeless teenagers. [Photo/Xinhua]
