A Taipei court in its ruling Friday has acquitted Chen of charges that he took bribes from two bankers, the Asociated Press reported on Saturday. Chen has been in custody since December 30, 2008 and was condemned life in jail last year for embezzling state funds, accepting bribes and money laundering.
