Pandas to promote city's tourism

Two giant pandas play at a rare wild animal raising and research center in Northwest China’s Shaanxi province, Sept 24, 2010. Both of the two-year-old giant pandas will be sent to Weifang, East China’s Shandong province, and settle down in an amusement park for three years. “Giant pandas can enhance the tourism image of Weifang and increase the popularity of our park,” said Sun Lianjie, sales director of Jinbao Amusement Park in Weifang. “We also want to raise the awareness of protecting wild animals among tourists,” he said.
