BEIJING: China on Tuesday expressed "strong dissatisfaction" with Japan for its allowing a visit by Uygur separatist Rebiya Kadeer.
"Some forces in Japan have planned for and facilitated Kadeer go to Japan to engage in separatist activities against China," Foreign Ministry spokesman Ma Zhaoxu said at a press briefing.
"Despite China's resolute opposition, Japan still allows Rebiya in. China expresses strong dissatisfaction," Ma said.
Ma reiterated that the Chinese government stands firmly against national separatism and is firm in safeguarding China's national unity. "Any attempt to separate China will be doomed to fail."
