Angelina Jolie reportedly asked Brad Pitt to marry her.
The actress - who earlier this month was reported to be preparing to tie the knot with her long-term partner - is said to have decided it was time to make Brad her husband during the couple's stay in Venice, where Angelina was shooting new movie 'The Tourist'.

Rumours are rife the ceremony will take place at Brad's close friend George Clooney's Italian villa on Lake Como and the pair's oldest four children, Maddox, eight, Pax, six, Zahara, five, and three-year-old Shiloh, will have big roles on the special day.
Brad's parents, Bill and Jane, are also said to be delighted at the news of the nuptials and are looking forward to seeing their son wed for the second time. His first wife was Jennifer Aniston.
Another source told National Enquirer magazine: "Bill and Jane have never been entirely comfortable with the idea of he and Angie cohabiting, so they are thrilled."
Brad, 46, and Angelina, 34, also have 21-month-old twins Knox and Vivienne together.
