Angelina Jolie and Fran Drescher might be an unlikely combination, but they are certainly a lifesaving one, as the duo has teamed up to fight cancer.

Angelina, who lost her mother to ovarian cancer, has joined forces with Fran, a uterine cancer survivor, to do some work with Fran's Cancer Schmancer– a charity devoted to women's health.

"Her mother had ovarian cancer and did not win her battle, so she is going to lock elbows with me and we are going to do some things together. We will do a PSA and maybe go to Washington," Fran said. "We are dedicated to ensure that all women's cancers get diagnosed in Stage 1 by galvanizing and educating, then we can change policy by signing petitions."

Thankfully, TV's former "Nanny" has been cancer-free since she beat it seven years ago at age 42.

"I was just so upset because the cure for cancer was a radical hysterectomy and that's a difficult operation for any woman, but for one who never had any children, like myself, that's a bitter pill to swallow," Fran added. "By the end of the first year, I was back to myself – a new version of myself. And in many ways, a better version because I became a person that has purpose."

Fran says a positive attitude is the key to survival, and during her battle she developed a way to keep negative thoughts out of her mind.

"Don't mix imagination with fear – it's a deadly cocktail. Wear a rubber band and every time you start to connect the dots that aren't necessarily there, snap that wrist band and say, 'Don't mix imagination with fear,'" she added.
