Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt's chief bodyguard Mickey Brett faces legal action in Namibia on charges of assaulting a restaurant owner.
Irish-born Brett will be summoned before a Namibian court for allegedly beating up Theuns Duvenhage and damaging his eye.
Jolie and Pitt had their first biological child, Shiloh Nouvel in Namibia last month, where the heavy-handed behaviour of their bodyguards had caused great controversy.
The Namibian local claims he was shooed off from an area where the Hollywood stars were present by the bodyguards but admitted making an "offending sign" before driving off.
He alleges Brett chased him forcing his car off the road and then hit, kicked and punched him.
Duvenhage's lawyer says, "Since Brett is a foreign national and about to leave the country, we abandoned the arrest because he deposited a sum of money as security at his lawyer's office, covering the damages claimed plus legal costs."
"We now contemplate when to have the summons issued to Brett and the law will take its course."
