Scientists say loneliness is a health killer, the Daily Mail of London reported Wednesday. The finding, based on more than 300,000 people, suggests social isolation is as bad for health as smoking 15 cigarettes a day or being an alcoholic, and twice as harmful as obesity. Another study shows the support of family, friends and neighbors can increase one's chances of living to a healthy old age by 50%. Experts said constant interaction is not only beneficial psychologically but also to physical health. (See photo)
