A teacher in Bundaberg, Australia, is claiming half a million pounds in compensation because she says she permanently damaged her larynx yelling at rowdy children, the Herald Sun reported. In 39-year-old Valissa Bauer's class were 31 special-needs children, including a diabetic child, 2 autistic children, a child with cardiac disorders and a number of children with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder. The claim by Miss Bauer, filed against the state government of Queensland, is believed to be the first of its kind in the world.(See photo)
