BEIJING: Foreign Minister Yang Jiechi and US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton on Tuesday spoke positively of President Barack Obama's visit to China and agreed to make the trip a new starting point in advancing China-US relations.
They also exchanged views on the Iranian nuclear issue and other matters and agreed that China and the United States will work together with other countries to promote world peace and common development, the Chinese Foreign Ministry said in a press release.
President Obama paid his first state visit to China last week, during which he held talks with his Chinese counterpart, Hu Jintao, and other Chinese leaders.
