Vaccinate的意思就是“（给…）接种疫苗”，也就是我们通常所说的“打预防针”，vaccinate常和against连用，表示“接种疫苗以预防（疾病）”，如：When were people first vaccinated against measles?（人们首次接种麻疹疫苗是什么时候？）
此外，vaccine指的是“疫苗”，而“（接种）疫苗者”则称为vaccinee。
