10月25日，中超联赛工作会议在河北香河足球基地召开。中国足球超级联赛有限公司正式成立，此外，确定2006赛季中超联赛赛程以及恢复联赛的升降级制度是本次会议的主要议题。据悉，2006年赛季将取消中超杯赛，并计划扩大足协杯参赛队数量，将考虑增加部分乙级队伍参赛。
