6月23日。德国通用汽车公司宣布计划和中国的合作伙伴共同投资2500万美元，以扩大其在中国重要的小汽车设计中心，并于明年1月将其亚太地区的总部迁往中国上海。在解释这样做的原因时，亚洲汽车资源负责人邓恩说：If you look around the world in terms of profitability, growth in China is head and shoulders above everybody else. 显然他对中国的小汽车市场充满了信心。在这里他用了head and shoulders above这个固定短语，是“远远超出”的意思。
