Global positioning to be installed on boats

Most boats and yachts in the West Lake in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province should be equipped with global positioning systems (GPS) before May, the Wenhui Daily reports.

If danger occurs, captains can call for help with the systems allowing rescuers to more readily find missing vessels.

In addition, if customers have complaints about rented boats, the system can recreate routes to determine what happened.
