A plane from Tianjin to Shanghai landed midway in Nanjing, capital of Jiangsu Province, because a passenger on board fell sick and needed immediate treatment, reports Shanghai Morning Post.

A 72-year-old man had a heart attack on the plane and fell into a coma last Wednesday. The plane staff immediately asked the passengers on the plane for help. A nurse and a retired doctor examined and resuscitated the man, who came back to consciousness.

The plane landed in Nanjing on its way to Shanghai so that the man could receive quick treatment. He was sent to a local hospital and the plane took off for Shanghai soon after.
