The National Bureau of Intellectual Property Rights pledges to provide full support to the 7th High-Tech Expo to facilitate communications between Chinese enterprises and international businesses under the protection of intellectual property rights (IPR), said Zhang Qin, deputy director of the National IPR Bureau, at the Organization Meeting of the 7th Expo on April 8.
Zhang explained that the bureau would focus on two tasks during the Expo: holding an international forum on business IPR and protecting IPR in expo transactions.
IPR has seen a growing importance over the past High-Tech Expo sessions since it is a key issue in the industrialization of high-tech achievements.
Only by owning IPR or legally obtaining technologies with IPR protection can an enterprise achieve large-scale manufacturing.
According to Zhang, the IPR forum at the Expo will focus on enterprise IPR protection.
He said the IPR forum is a good platform for enterprises to understand the rules of the game for better communications with the world's leading businesses.
